Education

Ed has been a critical care nurse since June 2000. He graduated from Santa Fe Community College with his Associate Science and earned his RN degree.

Later he attended University of New Mexico where he earned his Bachelor's in Science and Nursing.

In 2005 he earned his Master's in Science and Nursing at the University of New Mexico.

He became a board certified Child and Adolescent Clinical Nurse Specialist in psychiatry in November of 2005.

In the Spring of 2006 he completed certification and licensure for Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

  

  

When he graduated he accepted a position at the New Mexico Veterans Health Care Center in Albuquerque, now known as the Raymond G Murphy VA. For two years he specialized in treating veteran's with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Substance related issues.

  

He published an article in 2006 that addresses issues gay male couples face when adopting. He is an expert in his field at addressing gay and lesbian issues.

For fun Ed Lobaugh makes goat cheese. In picture above he is holding a wheel of Manzano Blue Moon (Blue Goat Cheese). This cheese is now offered at local farmer's market throughout New Mexico. Look for

  

 

In 2008 he formed Sandia Crest Mental Health LLC and accepted a provider position at the Detention Center where he trained.

He has now expanded his practice in Moriarty where he sees children with ADD, ADHD, Depression, Mood Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

In 2010 Ed presented at Contemporary Forums in Nashville TN and in San Diego, CA. He is presenting on various treatments for people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
